Krenz-Vent transformer cooling fans are used as original equipment and also for replacement. Every fan is quality engineered and performance tested.
Various types of mounting hardware are available to fit virtually any open type transformer radiator design — from horizontal flush mounting to vertical header pipe mounting, as well as tripod stand-alone mounting. Standard mounting hardware finishes are galvanized, zinc-plated or stainless steel.
For fan motor connections, both male receptacles and male plug and cords are available. Male receptacles work with our female plug and cords — which if desired, can be field cut to the specific length needed for each installation. Our male plugs and cords work with our female receptacles and allow for a common disconnect point at the junction boxes or control box. Various length cords and leads are available. Male connections attach to the fan motor, while female connections attach to the junction box (if used) or control box. Receptacles are cast with a 1/2” NPT male fitting and cords are provided with a cord grip and 1/2” NPT male fitting for threading into components.
Our junction box is a gasketed cast metal design. Junction box will accept 3/4” or 1/2” (bushing provided) fittings. Junction box cover accepts up to two receptacles with 1/2” NPT fittings.
Conduit, fittings and wiring are to be supplied by your electrician to suit your installation requirements.
Our transformer cooling fan controls provide for either automatic (when used with our Top Oil Thermometer) or manual control of the fans. Features include a dead front panel to protect operator from live components, a Manual-Off-Automatic Selector Switch, circuit breakers, contactor(s), heavy-duty pre-wired terminal strips and a NEMA 4 Enclosure.
Our Top Oil Thermometer is used in conjunction with our fan controls to provide for automatic cooling of the fans based on transformer oil temperature.
